@kramnodd9 To be fair there was a time many people in "the West" thought it was OK to colonize and enslave other countries. Now two wrongs don't make a right but just sayin'. It irks me off to see Pakistani flags waved in a menacing fashion in Britain (and I don't even live in UK) ..but then still today the British flag waves in Ireland and only 60 years ago it flew in Pakistan. The more UK Asians feel unwelcome in Britain the more they'll huddle together and come for as long as there's welfare.

@MrIntangibleasset 'ahhh nosy Brits always going where we don't belong.'
WTF is your problem? The sun never sets on the British Empire. The British MADE the modern world. A small island with the surface area of California. One nation. That begat the dreaded English longbowmen, and the greatest navy in the history of the world. Admiral fucking Nelson.
The whole fucking world is your business. Or else it would up to the French. Not acceptable.
What is your problem, mister?

@gaelicscots Well if it wasn't for Britain they'd have continued to rule over the place. Remember it was the Brits who came and took over from the Muslim Mughals, ahhh nosy Brits always going where we don't belong.
It's pretty clear what happened here is that the owner took the worker's passport so he'd be stuck working at his crappy restaurant instead of doing something else. The restaurant owner should be thrown in jail for being an evil profiteer and exploiter. @BritainDivided, why not focus on removing people who come without any intention of contributing anything. This guy was working in a restaurant, he clearly wasn't living off taxpayers. The evil owner undercut competing restaurants.

@dubtafoo Yeah I agree the employers who engage in these practices need to be severely punished and were appropriate deported. I don't believe fines imposed by Border Control are properly imposed either. Border Control does have a legal duty to remove illegal immigrants though, they have no legal right to work here. And those that do work illegally are not contributing any taxes or N.I. and are using resources paid for by others.

@dubtafoo He wasn't contributing any taxes or national insurance, that's what working illegally means. And since he wasn't a legal resident in UK he was most likely sending his earnings home, i.e. taking money out of the economy instead of contributing into it. But I agree, we need to get tough on the exploitive and criminal employers. It's needs a much more "joined up" approach by the government, tackling the problem at all levels.

if the owner of resturant tell u truth then ukba shdnt give fine to the owner
MrSippy89 9 months ago
@MrSippy89 The owner of the restaurant clearly isn't telling the truth and has been employing illegal immigrants. If he were employing genuine citizens legally entitled to work, they would have National Insurance numbers and would be registered for PAYE income tax. All employers are required to obtain this information from employees and notify HMRC by law.
