Angry Laughter and Bloombox House Concerts host Melissa Kay McCarthy. Here Melissa performs Barstool (To Fall Back On), an early song she wrote about having a barstool to fall back on instead of a college degree. I put together this video of the story Melissa tells about the inspiration for the song along with some stills of the new, hopefully less infamous, barstool that she had us sign. Melissa said she made this barstool and I'm watching my mailbox for photos to integrate (that I doubt will ever turn up) of her slaving away on her lathe manufacturing this prop (literally?) for this song.
Luckily Melissa had a vibrant blue Sharpie for me to sign with--not sure if it dried before she sat on my little comment about the great show--and making sure to wait for it to dry this time. :)
