Mustard Yellow V8 Volvo at 24 Hours Of LeMons Reno-Fernley

Wayne Evans, behind the wheel of the Ford 302-powered Mustard Yellow Volvo Doing 45 In The Fast Lane '84 Volvo DL, gives us a tour of some vintage Detroit race machines at the 24 Hours Of LeMons Goin' For Broken at Reno-Fernley Raceway on May 23, 2009. The Size Matters Chrysler 1967 Plymouth Fury and Old Farts Racing 1964 Buick Skylark make appearances, plus we see a bunch of furrin cars with big wings (including the Bernal Dads Volvo 245 and the Junkyard Kats Datsun 280ZX).

Wow thanks for the great shots. That is my loving wife behind the wheel of the 28 at that point of the race. What a great perspective. This was our first LeMons I still can't believe how helpful and willing to give everyone was. Looking forward to many more.

Unfortunately no, the camera didn't catch that. That was quite a ride though. I didn't think I was going to save it. I hit that oil slick left by the car that caused that yellow flag, and it just spun me right around.

Was the bumper cam on when you were behind me during a yellow at the top of the hill (Road Crew Truck day 2). The fishtailing was quite impressive from my mirror view.
