Wayne Evans, behind the wheel of the Ford 302-powered Mustard Yellow Volvo Doing 45 In The Fast Lane '84 Volvo DL, gives us a tour of some vintage Detroit race machines at the 24 Hours Of LeMons Goin' For Broken at Reno-Fernley Raceway on May 23, 2009. The Size Matters Chrysler 1967 Plymouth Fury and Old Farts Racing 1964 Buick Skylark make appearances, plus we see a bunch of furrin cars with big wings (including the Bernal Dads Volvo 245 and the Junkyard Kats Datsun 280ZX).

  • Was that an old Datsun I saw earlier in the race?

  • lolz mustard . is there even such a car ? or r u referring to the all time loser ford mustard . i mean mustang :)

  • this looks like way too much fun!

  • Wow thanks for the great shots. That is my loving wife behind the wheel of the 28 at that point of the race. What a great perspective. This was our first LeMons I still can't believe how helpful and willing to give everyone was. Looking forward to many more.

  • Unfortunately no, the camera didn't catch that. That was quite a ride though. I didn't think I was going to save it. I hit that oil slick left by the car that caused that yellow flag, and it just spun me right around.

  • Was the bumper cam on when you were behind me during a yellow at the top of the hill (Road Crew Truck day 2). The fishtailing was quite impressive from my mirror view.
