May 24, 2008 Global TV News Hours. The fur trade and the government keep claiming that the traps used nowadays are "humane". Humane they aren't! See owner's description of dog Rosie's suffering in cruel leghold traps set for wolves and cougars. No animal should suffer in these unimaginably cruel traps. So he let his little dog run wild in wolf territory..seriously?Ya sounds like he really cared for it.. domestic animals arent supposed to run around out in the wilds..thats what a leash is for..I feel for the dog to have had such an ignorant owner..hope he doesnt get another..dog was probably so old from the looks of it that the vet wanted to just put her down or the "caring" owner couldnt afford the bill..news had to spin it so they could get a rise as usual
NO we should not hurt the animals like that how would u like geting your foot or leg caught in that and dieing a slow death becuase people took over your home?
Ok, I'm going to tone it down a little because you're obviously a child.
I have many times put my hand in my traps just to illustrate their ability to restrain without causing pain or damage. In, I believe every state (and province?) there are laws depicting the number of hours a trapper can leave a trap unattended, they do not "die a slow death". Again, your home was once an animals home. Emotion will not effectively manage our wildlife. Please get educated; see both sides of the story.
oh and i think those traps shoudl be elegal!! it hurts the animal really bad intil finaly it dies.just remember u are in its home and its not in yours
Get educated! You CAN NOT effectively manage wildlife with emotion; they need tough love and science and although trapping may not be particularly good for the animal that is in the trap, it IS good for that particular species and I know it feels good to just accept the ah, poor puppy rhetoric but use common sense and let the professionals handle managing the wildlife. BTW, YOUR home was the animal's home before it was your home! Does that make you a bad person?
First of all Sorry about what happened to your dog, but I'm sure you have leash laws. A foot hold trap will not kill a dog. I have released at least four dogs and not one was injured.
