Its a good simulation but its the perfect evacuation. When theses people got on the plane they new they were going to evacuate so they were ready to go.

In real life thats not the case. A hard landing can brake bones, knock people out, or even kill them. Everyone on the plane also looks like they are fit and healthy. Where the hell or over weight people, old people, and people with disabilities that have to be a factor? Those are the people that will be slower. This is not a realistic test.

In 2000, I was on a flight from Vegas to L.A. in which the nose gear collapsed. The plane overshot the runway and crashed through a fence. It was pure panic and chaos. One of the slides inflated inside the plane. There were old people, drunk people, injured people & a bunch of jerkoffs trying to be heroes who, in fact, got in the way of the flight attendants who were doing what they were trained to do. It took several minutes to empty the plane, & this was an itty bitty 737 on dry land.

A better simulation would be to announce before the test that the first 400 volunteers to make it off the plane will each get a $50 bonus.

You'll then see a stampede for the doors.

it was fairly realistic, the test was in darkness and they didnt deploy all 16 doors they did half, so there was a 50% chance that you would get stuck in a huge crowd. Also, no one was shown the procedure, they had to do what the flight attendants told them. As for real life, instinct kicks in and people will get the fuck out even quicker.

In real life, half the bozos on the plane would try to jump down the slides with their carry on luggage.

@DirectFilms they can not deploy a real test, it will cost millions, people will get injured or even death, and in the end it will not give you the exact results, because two airplane crash do not occur the same way. It is the same to ask every people in united states for which candidate they will vote, it will not give you the exact result because on the voting day some people will not vote for the candidate the said. So they prefer to measure it.

@DirectFilms of course this is not a realistic test, the real situation is a lot different, It is to measure how much time will it takes to evacuate all the people in the airplane in the real world. if they put some old people in that plane the will get injured, or eve death. The same for the child. That is the same of statical survey, 50 thousand people are not united states, but they measure from those people how many people will vote for a candidate depending on the results.

True, in a REAL life evacuation. You will have passengers who are "clueless", passengers who are disabled, passengers who are FAT, and crew who are FAT (only on American carriers). No way can this happen in 78 seconds.
