If im reading a chart and it tells me to do mesh...but i rather make it solid...i can just do that and change colors right?
Im sorry, this sounds really stupid but im learning and i just want to do it correctly.

@Phaythful Look at the intarsia video. I use the same chart but make it solid by crocheting with two colors.

when you look at a chart...how do you know what the multiple is. Are all charts a multiple of 3? if so...if i wanted to make this chart a really big afghan...how would i go about doing that?

@Phaythful You still use the same multiple, but change the graph the make one square equal 2, 3 or more blocks. I usually make a new chart instead. Some filet techniques are different. But the one I show here is a multiple of three.
