The Pond Plant Girl visits the pond project at Pleasant View Elementary School in Porterville, California. This will be my ongoing project to fix it up with beautiful pond plants and to teach the children about water gardening!

Also learn about pebble people plants? How to fertilize water lily and water lotus, and even water hyacinth!

  • Update?

  • @WizzleThump There will be an update on the school project next month when school is back in session. Until then I am promoting fund raisers for my plants and supplies for the garden. They are starting a new second garden at another campus. I will be filming the progress. Hopefully get a spot on the news too!

  • I was told today in central Florida that water lettuce is outlawed. (evasive).

Not even allowed to purchase on the internet.

Are you going to tell me other-wise ?

    Please reply......

  • @drychalice Florida has tight restrictions on water lettuce and water hyacinth, because officials claim that it clogs the water ways. I do know of some locations where it grows in the wild in Georgia and in California, but am not familiar with Florida waterways. If you are looking for some plants, I do know some sources. GAiL

  • ornamental goldfish are just as good as other goldfish in cold temps

  • Thank you very much.

    One more controversial plant question.

One says "yes"- one says..." no"

Question; The red mangrove cannot grow aeral roots, if rasied and grown in fresh-water.

They can only grow aerial roots in brackish or saltwater.

    Thank you in advance.

  • @drychalice water lettuce and water hyacinths (ALL VARIETIES) are outlawed in FL, AL, TX, LA, CA, SC and Hyacinths in a few other states (even Idaho and the city of chicgo per law) see a full list at the International Waterlily and Water Garden Society. State websites dept of agriculture also list them. All sources and stores selling the plants in those states are breaking the law and by growing them you can be too! Big Fines possible.

  • I really love ALL of your videos! I havent watched them all yet, but over the past few months they have helped me with many garden problems! I have an OLD pond. It is the dirtiest most digusting thing. You would be upset :( The water is like mud. I want to clean it up, and it should be a fun project! Keep up the great videos!!! Thank You!
