  • You seem to think that playing more than one keyboard is the mark of a true organist.

Most organ music requires 3-4 parts to be played SIMULTANEOUSLY on ONE keyboard. That is why you typically see organists playing mainly on just ONE keyboard.

He's playing on 2 keyboards, not to dazzle you with circus tricks, but because composer specified "A 2 CLAV. E PEDALE" (for 2 keyboards and pedal).

The upper parts cross frequently. It would be difficult to play them on 1 keyboard.

  • jeez, two hands are difficult enough! These trio sonatas are insane. Excellent performance.

  • Excellent concentration.

  • Wish I could do this!

  • europeans are damn pretentious.

  • haha well actually I beg to differ on that statement, I missed out a p on support oh dear....how completely awful

  • But I think, in the main, they can spell better in the United States of America.

  • Wow!

    Well done under pressure!

Needs work (use a metronome whenever you practice).

Wish I could have played this this well when 14.

Played trumpete in junior high school then. Hated organ.

  • nice, although it needs a hell of a lot more work, and i'm not just talking about wrong notes. pretty good for 14 though.

  • Some organ music is intended to be played WITHOUT pedal.

Some of Bach's organ music specifies "manualiter", i.e., manual parts only, NO PEDAL PART.

  • You are a true organist! You have separated your hands apart, playing a keyboard for each hand and also playing the base pedals! I have seen organist playing both hands on one keyboards and some times not even playing the pedals like a real organist. Again, you are a true organist!
