Hey I liked this video I have an S3 IS and I was wondering do you know anything like the Gbtimer for free? I prefer freeware just because buying stuff online is risky... Anyway if you know any software - thanks :-)

the S3 has remote picture taking right? You can connect it to your computer and use software to take pictures remotely so that I could make stop-motion animation videos?

Yes, if you have the software, i used GBTimelapse. There may be a better program out there as the GBT program crashed on me pretty often. I also managed to install a "fake" firmware that lets me do timelapses with nothing other than the camera itself.

S3 already has intervalometer built in, there is no need for firmware change.

the built-in intervalometer is very limited (100 pics and 1min min), so while this may be enough for some, for others it is necessary for the new firmware.
