I''m sure Ms. Wolf is a dedicated acitivist but I am having a lot of trouble understanding what her point is. She sounds like a post modernist.

Left Wing Sports writer? Isn't that a contradiciton? The spectacle of sports is only for capital accumulation.
Her identity politics is secondary to class struggle. Most gay people out there are Bourgeois consumers just like everyone else in Capitalist American.

@eye0thetiger LGBT are oppressed by nature and Darwin. Unless you figure a way to defeat both, you are fighting a loosing battle. Same with socialism and equality.

@Katin11 Don't you think the same group of people that send bombs and missiles to Iraq and Palestine are the same people who deny LGBT people their rights at home??? Same oppressors, same exploiters, same ruling class gang impeding humanity's progress day by day. Shouldn't we all unite to oppose them? Gay, Straight, black, white, old, young, woman male etc. We're all fucked by the same people and the same system.

Yeah, katin, you have more important things to do... Like attacking real revolutionaries. Revolutionaries do not rank oppressions or exploitations, but fight against them all with passion and political clarity. Sherry's also organized, written, and spoken about a range of non-lgbt issues, such as justice for Palestine, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, labor rights, and zionism.
