On 15th June 2010, the North West Development Agency (NWDA) announced the appointment of fund managers to manage its £185 million venture capital and loan fund. The NW fund became open for business seven months later, on the 15th of December 2010 allowing over £400 million (when match funding is added) to be invested as equity and debt finance over the next five years in the north west.

The event provided an opportunity to meet fund managers, understand the investment criteria of each fund represented and have an informal discussion before you formally apply for funding.

Furthermore, the event gave everyone an opportunity to rub shoulders with the tech entrepreneurial and investor community of the north west, and turn 2011 into a great year for deal making.
