Do you by any chance have sheet music for any of your arrangments?
-
Aw come on! How could you hate the singing saw?

Hi.
Thanks for the explanation.
Is the version on the "User's Guide" album the original?

The User's Guide version is the original - although I am convinced the vocal is re-recorded for that compilation, making it technically a third version! (Others disagree, but I do know a little about music production) Actually, the 'original' EP version is a little hard to come by due to record label Elektra refusing to allow the band the rights to release a B-Side compilation from that era. This is one of the reasons the band have cited for choosing to re-record it on an album.

Thanks for another great TMBG cover. Whats the difference between both versions of the songs?

The song first appeared on the 'Istanbul' EP in 1990, which is the days before the TMBG band so it has that sequenced synth sound that their first 4 albums had. The band resurrected it by popular demand and re-recorded it with their full band for the Factory Showroom album. I prefer the original for its simplicity, and also because I hate the singing saw on the FS version. But it is a great song to see live.
