According to information on some sites, apparently knees and side kicks were scored as two points each. All other techniques were considered equal.

Sun Tao fought Buakaw in another Sanda vs Muay Thai event that took place after this one. I don't anything about Mohammed. The site http://www.angelfire.com/sd2/kingofsanda/sandathai.html list him as a World Muay Thai Cup Champion. He didn't fight like a Muay Thai champion to me.

There's no muay thai in sanda. Stop thinking muay thai has created elbows. Elbows existed much before MT was created.

Sanda is a mix of many different kung fu styles.

@LeVraiJerry HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA Sanda and Kung Fu are like water and oil. They are totally different. Sanda is only the cinese kickboxing and technically is Kickboxing + projection.

@LeVraiJerry If Sanda is a mix of many styles, then Muay Thai mix with Wrestling and BJJ is better than Sanda. Like I've said many times before, different styles of kung fu my ass. I see no kung fu strikes in there. It's adding throws to boxing and MT kicks for Sanda. A more complete system is to mix Muay Thai with wrestling and BJJ like in MMA. Sanda can't strike like MT and Wrestling is king of takedowns and takedown defense. BJJ is if you get on your back against a better wrestler.
