@OCOrbits andy did some good music with WOV, but it was very different and ultimately two different things, just as stan and andy are ultimately two different types of preformers with two different levels of success, people are obsessed with stan because he's an amazing preformer and has proven to be simply better than andy, with his multiple international hits, and ability to continue rocking great old tunes like this. if you think his solo albums are dull, then you cant appreciate good music..
too late to gravy train off marc and chas's sound, Stan. WOV were very good with Stan but amazing with Andy. I'm floored by people so obsessed with this goofball that they can't understand how good the music ( and actual singing) is on the Andy era stuff. It was just edgier, more human, and Marc's guitar was even better! He should have realized what he had instead of trying to be Uncle Remus and leave WOV to make a handful of dull albums
I met Stan when he played the Neurolux (Boise) I asked him if Johnny Cash ever got a chance to hear his version of this song- he said he did and gave it a thumbs up-his wife June (who wrote it ) thought it was "Just plain WEIRD"

I hate to be one of THOSE people, but performing this song without Marc Moreland is pure sacrilege.
