  • How did you get your tone, modeling or amp? While to my ears it doesn't sound spot on, I know its not your intention to try and sound perfect, but to deliver insight, you made me recognize I never really breakdown the songs I know, which now I realize can help me with my own creations and song writing style...cheers!

  • @Frippster22 Peavey Vypyr Head. It's an amp modeling head.

  • right in two please. thnx

  • @nflGiants87 Big Blue!

  • I love your tone in this video, it's a lot like Jones' tone. I'm just wondering where your bass, mids, and treble are set at, and how much gain you're using.

  • @SuperGuitarBitch Bass and Mids are around 12 (o'clock). Treble 1, Pregain 100%, post gain 1.

  • @axeofcreation When you say the Peavey what model? 6505, 5150 or are you referring to an amp modeling a Peavey?

  • Awesome.

  • Two other note worthy things about Adams technique:

Adam loves dissonance. He will bend one or two strings in a chord or triad to subtly create dissonance. Uses them a lot with feedback ~ a la Stinkfist intro.

He will also pull on his 5th/6th strings while playing powerchords or single notes which rapidly increases the pitch (1/4 step), then he will pull off so they rapidly return to pitch, and that really gives him that buzzsaw tone. Also could be fretting hard, thus increasing pitch.

  • good video, you played lateralus wrong (rhythmically) though.

  • Rosetta Stoned??? please???

  • you're tone is way off. youre lows are too muddy and youre highs are too bright. try a different pickup

  • This is pretty cool. Agile makes a nice les paul too.

    Good stuff!
