Cubizm - The rotating cube

Venue: Walsall New Art Gallery (at the Salaam Festival Nov 2011)

Soul City Arts presents another revolutionary concept where visual artist and producer Mohammed Ali choreographs live percussion, live poetry combined with performance painting directly onto a spinning cube.

Mohammed Ali has been introducing his 'cubes' that are transformed in front of live-audiences in cities across the globe, so far in Gothenburg, Sweden, Walsall and Amsterdam. Now he takes it one step further whereby the cube is spun 360 degress. The painting evolves in front of a seated audience where the cube rotates on a pivot.

Poet Tshaka Campbell and Percussionist Daniel Waples come together together with Mohammed Ali to create a unique experience at the Walsall New Art Gallery as part of the Salaam Festival that took place in November 2011.The Cubizm concept is born!
