Yuri Bezmenov 1983 Soviet subversion of Western Society

Yuri Bezmenov, a.k.a. Tomas Schuman, soviet KGB defector, explains in detail his scheme for the KGB process of subversion and takeover of target societies at a lecture in Los Angeles, 1983.
Yuri Alexandrovitch Bezmenov is a former KGB propagandist who was assigned to New Dehli, India, defected to the West in 1970, and was interviewed by Edward Griffin in 1985. Bezmenov explains his background, some of his training, and exactly how Soviet propaganda is spread in other countries in order to subvert their teachers, politicians, and other policy makers to a mindset receptive to the Soviet ideology.

He also explains in detail the goal of Soviet propaganda as total subversion of another country and the 4 step formula for achieving this goal. He recalls the details of how he escaped India, defected to the West, and settled in Montreal as an announcer for the CBC.

  • There is no equality when you are basing it on personal attributes, -- or from a socioeconomic, hierarchical bases (where the separation lies). Equality IS the basic/intrinsic point within all life forms in existence. Meaning, from the perspective that fundamentally we all require the same things to live in this physical world.

Man must be pragmatically diverted towards a functional system, which takes all into consideration equally -- an Equal Money System. google Equal Money System.

  • I wonder what this man thinks of the US today, since most of what he said has come true...

  • @NuruAndeku1 ...removing rewards for great ideas and innovation would plummet the nation's economy into the dirt (if the USSR was any indication). Furthermore, such a system could EASILY be hijacked and turned Authoritarian under the guise of the "good of all" or the "good of the motherland" or some other emotionally charged propaganda that, throughout history, has resulted in the masses giving up their rights again and again in many different countries.

  • @NuruAndeku1 ...are the same ( a one party system "arbitrator" that takes money from the producers and decides which needy consumers to give it to).

Aside from the fact that such a system could never truly exist as theorized (because 1> To establish it, you would need to trample the rights of dissidents and 2> Due to human nature, ALL people would need to embrace the "Do unto another as you would like to be done unto You" message, which is not realistic), de-incentivizing hard work by.. • @NuruAndeku1 The EqualMoney website attempts to differentiate their system from Communism by explaining how EMS comes to be through non-violent revolution, but what's hilarious is that the ends are the SAME. The website even refers to Communist principles as being "sound" -- "...work according to their ability and receive according to their need". So this means the means are different (forceful redistribution of wealth vs fairlyland voluntary redistribution) but the ends ... Cont

  • @NuruAndeku1 We DO all require the same things to live in the physical world, but in order for this to happen, SOMEBODY must be the PRODUCER. We can't just all be consumers. In fact, ideas like the Equal Money System attempt to rationalize and justify how it is somehow different than Communism when they actually share the same result. Cont

  • I thought this was critique of capitalism, not socialism. 1983, understandable.

    Still, the guy is smart!

  • But finally the US subverted Eastern European countries after a deal with the USSR to auto-collapse. And now 20+ the Western world is about to collapse too. Faith is funny...

  • @NuruAndeku1 Do not confuse equality with justice. These are very different things, with some overlap which it seem you are confusing.

  • @o0POSH0o A healthy amount of socialism is none.

  • This guy is preaching to the Ronald Reagan crowd who only like to listen to why conservatism is the only way and that any other form of theory is just evil. No wonder after 30 years of neo-liberalism and the destruction of the middle class and massive bail outs of the rich; ......Americans cannot accept a healthy amount of socialism.
