  • One of the all time great albums. A real life changer, and still relevant as ever.

Pity the poor souls who think Dexys are only 'Come on Eileen' .

  • This is my favorite song by this band.

Someone tell all those ppl 'Come On Eileen' isn't the only song they ever played nor is it even their best.

  • Aaaaaaahhhhh... So absolutely great song, great album...

  • @LilywhiteMcLenin I don't understand this comment, Kevin Rowland was born in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands and continued to live in the Midlands for the duration of his 80's commercial success.

  • big jimmy

  • @pmatthews2

    I agree. 100%.

  • My Auntie Phyllis, who passed away at age 80 in June, gave me a copy of this album for my 14th birthday. I loved it instantly. It's so...genuine. 'Burn It Down', 'Tell Me When My Light Turns Green', 'Geno', 'Thankfully Not living in Yorkshire...'--all great memorable tracks. Hardly anyone had even heard of DMR in Newfoundland at the time, so I felt like I was in on some super-cool trans-Atlantic secret. One question: Who's sampled between The Pistols and The Specials in the intro?

  • @LilywhiteMcLenin thanks for that comment. i never really listened to the words before now. Thats a real education, thanks again

  • @pmatthews2 YES What did they do sold themselves out

  • One of the best opening album tracks of all time. Remember when i first heard it and just felt blown away by the power of the thing !
