First day SJSU Figure Drawing

Sheldon uses music to teach his students how to draw.

I'm betting it means that they are stiff and lifeless. Animator's work needs to be very loose, fluid, and full of rhythm to get that illusion of "life" in their cartoons. Dynamic drawings is what it's really all about, as opposed to just copying the model to get somewhat photo realistic (yet stiff and lifeless) results.
