At 6:38, why doesn't white just Qf5+. It would be a good move, I think. White is still defending the pawn on c2. A move for black would be Pc5 to defend his knight, but... idk. I'm no chess player.

I'm just starting to look at openings and the sheer number of possibilities in each game has me so hooked. Thanks for the great video!

@neoconretard Not sure, I've been playing a bunch of them. I think the Keres is all right.

At 7:37 if white nabs the b-pawn even better would be Na6 winning the queen, a common trap.
Nice video, found it instructive.

actually at 2:30 Black can attack as following : Bh4+ (if Knight capture then Qe4+ with white response g3 then finally black capture g3 with his knight .. ) or g3 then the Bishop captures . .

@mazinm2006 6...Bh4+ 7.Nxh4 Qxh4+ 8.g3 Nxg3 9.Qf2 (a typical counterpin) Nf5 (9...d4!?) 10.Qxh4 Nxh4 11.Nxd5 ought to be better for white.

Matt I really like the relaxing grey rocks as a background. Also, your "dual commentary game" with the Australian kid was excellent. I got a prescription to his channel also.
Best regards,
Jess

@jessicafischerqueen The rocks are a default background in ChessBase9. Your comment made me wonder if I am allowed to use my own image... :-}
