@ConrailSD70MAC HAHA, I was pointing out the fact that it doesn't have the updated software to lessen wait time before a train arrives.

@GEES44DC - there really wasn't a crossing here long ago. It was a dead end. On the other side, the road continued parallel to the tracks up to a highway. When someone bought some property on the north side of the tracks, the road was abandoned and a crossing made here to connect with Clark Road. I agree with you.....definately not a smart crossing.

This certainly isn't a smart crossing.

@aaron In the rule book 437 is indeed a stop and proceed. It was probably just a type-o on his behalf. FYI, CN doesn't have 410, 420, 426 and 438 ... all of the 'to restricting' indications and the take or leave siding light. CP uses those.

sweet shot man !
uhh, rule 437 IS a stop and proceed signal. this is the rule right out of the rule book. RAC.
Stop and Proceed signal- Stop, Then Proceed at RESTRICED speed.
restricted speed definition-a speed that will permit stopping within one half the renge of vision of equipment. also prepared to stop short of a switch not properly lined and in no case exceeding slow speed ( 15MPH)
didnt look like he was going 15mph. maybe 20-25 MPH
might not have been a rule 437?
great video though!

@aaron13133 - Well, from what I could find - not too much knowledge of the 'Rules', CP 153 stopped at a Red signal, with 131 (Expressway) cominh up behind. Once 153 got moving again, they continued that speed. So the speed that the Expressway was going, they continued that speed to Smith Falls (crew change point). Thanks!
