Attack Orcas: Sealand of Pacific and Seaworld california

Video extraido del documental Giganter der a Mere. El audio está en aleman. Recoge dos de los accidentes más nefastos ocurrido con orcas en Cautividad. El 1º, ocurrió en Sealand del Pacífico en 1991: La entrenadora Keltie Lee Byrne falleció al ser ahogada por Tilikum(ahora en SWO) Haida 2 y Nootka 4. El 2º ocurrió en Seaworld California en 1989: Kandu V, una hembra dominante, atacó a Corky antes de empezar el show. minutos más tarde, empezó a expulsar sangre por el espiráculo. Tras 45 min de hemorragia murió. Corky adoptó a Orkid, la hija de kandu V (que se puede ver en el video). Ambas viven actualmente.

Nothing. He's too valuable to sell or destroy, ill-equipped to survive in the wild, and technically not guilty of anything except being a large predator, which isn't exactly his fault. Sea World won't do anything to him. This will fade with time. It would fade faster if the media would stop spreading this serial-killer bullshit around.

Unfortunately, Sea World has reduced contact with the orcas, which is confusing the animals. I hope they go back to normal soon.

Es una injusticia el tener a un animal salvaje encerrado...ocurren accidentes y el animal entonces debe ser sacrificado...

¿Por qué? ¿Es que no eres tú quien abusa de "poder"?

Una persona que tiene encerrado a un animal para el divertimento de otras, para mi no es considerado un amante de los animales ni de la naturaleza...

Siento ser tan cruda, es mi opinión personal. (aunque me da pena que sea tan minoritaria)

to keep such an animal in captivity is a crime against nature and god - i am glad the whale got a little bit of revenge <3 poor guy =)

i think the trainer could have mistreated the animal and had been doing so for some time . The whale was tired and decided that day in front of all those people he was going to get her that day it was sad but you are dealing with animals who think like humans. If somebody hurts you you are going to find a way to get them back and that is exactly what the whale did to the trainer it was a tragedy but you cant hurt these animals and get away with it either. I think they forget how smart they are

@LaFloful Tilikum is a transient, as well as Gudrun. I'm pretty sure Kanduke was a resident. I'm also pretty sure Taima is half transient hald resident because I think Tilikum fathered her. I'm not 100% sure on any of that except for Tilikum being a transient but I'm pretty sure...

Poor Kandu V, and Orkid. Its sick that the trainers just stood there and watched while she bled to death! If that was a trainer, they wouldn't be standing there, relaxing while they died! I like SeaWorld, but sometimes they just make me sick!

@Kiska771 The second part is about the orca KanduV, which crashed into a tank wall after a miscalculation. She has a jaw fracture and you can see her bleeding to death in the pool.
