The video and performances shown here do no justice to the three performances I saw at LA Opera over several years. Patricia Raclette was fantastic and Robert Wilson's staging was extraordinary.

The stylistic staging is a lot more kitsch than the music is kitsch. It's a kitsch-over- kitsch pop-entertainment walking like a cool pseudo-minimalism high taste.
