Don't forget that interception is just a part of the process. We have to make sure that we are able to detect them first. AWACS, Satellites are needed for especially cruise missiles. Moreover, India has dedicated missiles like PAD, AAD for Ballistic missile and cruise missile interception.

India's Multi-layered SAMs are being replaced by the new ones.
AAD-(Anti-ballistic missile)Can also be used as a SAM with 80km or more range and as a surface to surface missile with a range of 130km
Barak - 40 to 70 km
Akash - 35 to 40 km
Spyder- 10 to 15 km (quick reaction missile)

@ramasubur It is just another quick reaction missile, jointly developed France. It will complement Spyder SAM.
India needs variety of weapons to have significant edge against our adversaries !!
