  • Every ceilidh band I've been in has played this, since we're from Morpeth - and although this is fabby, it sounds SO much better quickly

  • Thanks for posting this. I am actually learning this from a tunebook without having heard it before. Being a country player I was playing it too much like a bluegrass tune.

    It sounds way better the way you play it.

  • Thanks ... it IS a tune for a rant step ... and Morpeth is an English town .... Cathy makes a pretty good job of it for a 14 year old :)

  • Oh ... it's only practice and listening! A secret though ... this was the tune which Cathy spent a whole workshop on with Gina Le Faux ... and for a while it was her firm favourite!

  • Me and some friends have just started a folk group at my Uni as it is sadly lacking one, this is the first tune we have started doing and I love it! This is such a beautiful version of it as well!
