Brings back memories; I was B-52 avionics, radar and computer technician in USAF ('76-'80). This is G or H model; you can tell because of the EVS/FLIR monitors. I never flew in one, but was once called on a "redball". A B-52 ready to takeoff on runway, but cannot because of maintenance issue. We fixed the issue in minutes (with engines running), but it was stressful having everyone waiting on YOU only. Luckily, it was easy swap out part and not a wiring issue which might have taken hours to fix.

@evoldevildogs No. There is of course the U.S. Air Force Academy. But there is also the ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) which is an elective available at colleges throughout the country, for students who have their eye set on a commission in the military... Check out afrotc.com

I would love to fly in this plane.

Yes, you have to have a degree and be commissioned.

You got it. It was pretty cloudy that day but once we got down below about 4,000 feet we were below all of it.

@dozers4 I hope you mean 4000ft over ground, otherwise, you're about 3000 ft in the ground :)
