I totally disagree with sosmooth7! Theo actually save the Four Tops from a has been group! They have replaced him with some guy off the street much like The Temptations have now. I actually wanted my money back when they performed at Wolftrap, Wash DC last year, without Theo! I think we all can agree The Temps and Tops keep weaker singers because the old heads like Duke and Otis can control them, and the weak guys they have now have no where else to go!

Theo oversings and strains in the upper registers. He was effective in his role when he sang with Ali Ollie Woodson and others (in the Temptations). When he stepped out of the Temps his solo efforts were less than stellar. As a member of The Four Tops he's passable when he doesn't try too hard to stand out.

Theo Peoples is a great singer,but he just never fit in the Four Tops Levi Stubbs voice mold.
