You're right, Phillip. I'm sure the trajectory of Mitt Romney's life would have been the same if his father was George Romney, garbage man and if his father's best friend was J. Willard Marriott, public school teacher.
Mitt Romney said at the RNC Convention last year that "We need to change Washington from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington" in the midst of the most conservative administration in US history. He's got his head screwed on right.

Romney had advantages growing up but he didn't inherit his wealth, he earned it. He is an extremely competent and accomplished individual.
He graduated Harvard Law School Cum Laude and Graduated with an MBA from Harvard in the top 5% of his class. He made his money buying failing companies and turning them around and making them profitable. He saved the Olympics in 2002 and turned around the budget in Massachusetts.
