The best we can do is search for life as we know it. If i would told you to find a "bagon" would you be able to finde it? For you dont eaven know what it is : )

I get your point, but MAN cant search for something that is unknown to them. Because its unknow it could stare us in the face but we would still not recognize it as life. Example: Plants are just like people they eat, breath , grow and reproduce, yet its so different from us thtat we often dont eaven realize that its a living being. If such a diversity in life form exist on earth, imagine how diverse life outside the earth could be and thus making it impossible to discover.

Put a whole bunch of those camera telescope things on a large rocket then launch it super far then deploy them in all different directions that will give you more data. You can also make a large sphere like object with those telescope on it and launch it out as far as possible that will give you data from all directions. these are my ideas so if you build it i should get an amount of money.

Ever since I heard about the kepler mission in 2009, I have been so enthralled by its discoveries. I constantly try to bring up the kepler discoveries into conversations with people who have never heard about it, everyone should know about it!

@GOLDENARMY1000 YOU ARE AN IGNORANT IDIOT. GO BACK TO SCHOOL. WE DO UNDERSTAND. THATS THE POINT.
this was so awesome. I cant wait till we find a planet that looks unique as ours such as blue water, green land, cloudy sky, etc.

@Kaylanthedj As of February 2, 2011 we know of several Earth-like candidate planets, some of them could be as unique as ours is, as you have described it. It will take time, however, to confirm them and eventually to study their atmosphere, using new techniques.
