Nokia N8 v N82 xenon Flash strength comparison

Note: This comparison is not for the purposes of testing photographic ability but just a fun comparison of the ability of the respective phones' abilities to throw light.

The N8 Xenon module is approx 30% smaller physically.

Xenon flash comparison - not too scientific but shows the differences nevertheless.

Screen grabs are used instead of the actual photos taken with the respective cameras as I guess it maintains the control of only one device capturing everything to purely show xenon flash power, not anything else.

As you can see the N82 is slightly more powerful in its ability to throw light.

The N8 despite the lower flash power (the Xenon module is about 30% physically smaller after all), has that bigger sensor and captures at a faster iso so to a degree makes up for the shortfall in Xenon power.

In an actual comparison of the actual pics from the respective cameras, it is still slightly noticeable (tp a much smaller degree in open spaces comapred to tight spaces, where the light has more chance to bounce around and thus illuminate) the lesser power on the N8 but the quality and detail are without a shadow of doubt so much better than the N82.

Colours seemed to be more blue/cold compared to the red/warmth results of the N82.
