How To Make an .lrc Lyric Files for MP3 Player Tutorial

^ That's my current pack of lrc files and mp3s

I use a coby, but any mp3 player that supports lrc files would work.

Programs:
Notepad
DivXLand Media Subtitler (free): http://www.divxland.org/subtitler.php

1.Find the lyrics online and paste them onto Notepad

2.COBY USERS ONLY: Move the edges of Notepad so that you can only type 28 characters/line (you might have to do a lil counting)

3.Edit the lyrics so that they flow smoothly. Then save it as a txt file. Examplae: onetime.txt

4.Open DivXLand Media Subtitler, and then
File } Open text (select text file)
File } Open audio (select mp3 file)

5.Press and hold button to sync it

6.One youre done, go to
Settings } General Settings and uncheck everything.
Make sure the drop down menu is "on subtitling and loading process"

7.Save it as a Karaoke Lyrics LRC file

8.It should have the same name as the mp3 file
ex: if the song name is "song.mp3", the lrc file must be "song.lrc", if the song name is "Katy Perry - ET.mp3" the lrc file must be "Katy Perry - ET.lrc"

i don't get it.. mine when i already open the file for text and audio just like you did...my lyrics don't show up.. also, how many times do i need to click apply?.. is it done in very start only? coz with mine, it won't work like automatically...

@pendecar: this tutorial is for syncing lyric files. You need to get the actual words from google search

How do you get the file played? I mean I did everything and saved it as .lrc then uploaded to my mp3 player, tried to play it and it says 'Wrong format'.

@Ha10Ru135 : When you click on file and choose Open Audio File, make sure the audio bar option in the Open Audio File Dialog box is unchecked and only check the player option.

@Onadragonfly It works.. But I thought there was an easier way to do it rather than clicking apply all the time.. Let me know if there are newer software available for this.. I'm planning to add lyrics to all of my songs.. I know it's crazy, but my mp3 is beautiful to pass up on this.. Hopefully it won't be too much storage..
