Why does this matter? they're a creature that lives in a desolate ecosystem way up north. If they're dieing, it's from a natural change in the environment. The ice caps are melting; they're hasn't been an ice age in thousands of years. They're not going to die off completely, they even stated that Canadian government has LIMITED the number of seals that can be caught each year, which means that they are obviously doing research to ensure that the population of seals does not become too low.
