  • I've been doing pointe since I was nine, 5 years this December. I've lost track of how many shoes I've gone through!

My problem is that my boxes are always WAY too hard (Block Sonata II), and I snap the shank in a month or two!!! I seriously DO NOT need any help breaking in my shanks, but how can I break in the boxes??

  • @SmurfzRoxSox I used to have the same problem but started slamming the box in a door. sounds odd, i know.

  • @prizanya No.. to be honest its really easy.

  • LISA! Please I need help. My new pointe shoes are fit wrong. The Box is to long, I couldn't roll up through my feet trying them on, and I guess the girl doesn't know how to fit, because she didn't see it. I have to wear these until they're dead, because they cost a lot of money.

Is there any way to help make them fit? This is only my third pair.

  • ive just got my point shoes and find it hard to tie th ribion did u find it hard first off all

  • I'm scared if I do this it'll break my whole shank. But I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the vid :)

  • Thank you~ It helped. \(^o^)/

  • @SmurfzRoxSox whe nyou first get them, put the on the floor and gently roll your foot over the box :) i have the same problem and my teacher told me to do that

  • @SmurfzRoxSox you should place the palm of your hand on your box and push gently down, until they're soft enough ;p

  • This video is probably one of the best on youtube! One of my ballet teachers, who danced with the Miami City Ballet, recommended it to me!
