  • i dont think your heater is efficient because you running 5 electric motors at the time

  • @guzelyagmur I'll admit that if we had known going into building it what we know now the heater would look very different. But even with 4 fans and a pump running it puts out such a large amount of heat that I still feel it's fairly efficient. Always room for improvement.

  • Do you have any problems with the small air jet being damaged by heat in the burner tube? I've built one but am having trouble with burnt air jets upon shutdown. I've made a heat shield for the burner tube but it dosn't work.

  • @Lowmoorfarm In the beginning our nozzle was the biggest hurdle. The plans I used called for a .0015 nozzle. It was suggested we use a mister jet that was brass with a steel insert. Kept getting plugged until eventually the steel came out of the brass. Found that a nozzle from Keystone Industries works excellent. Part number is KLN-A15. Haven't had a problem since the switch. Hope this helps.

  • What do you do when you lose your power in a storm? .... Freeze???

  • @ozzirt There isn't a reason for us to run this shop heater with the power out. Without lights, welder, plasma cutter, power tools, or air compressor we wouldn't get much done. If we lose power, I'll be in the house playing cards by the fireplace.

  • nice man thats an awesome heater and its always nice using something that people want gone(oil) and i was wondering if you are able to use baking grease? you can get allot of that from qiute a few places

  • how do you make the flame go upwhortes?

  • there's more ways to make this efficient, it's a good start. Add heat coils for heating water heater & your entire house like an outdoor woodboiler. Then it becomes efficient.
