@psychologie10 Spooner is a characterization of a smart alec junior, a prop. He's like a "junior" machine that spits out the necessary lines. Mr. Lucas was a character, a person who was a junior and a smart alec. But those were only attributes of a person, of Mr. Lucas. That's the difference - character vs. characterization.
