@Uaxis that's not physics that's biology

I did a freediving course a couple of years ago. They said 100% of students do 3 mins in the pool on the 2nd or 3rd day. I didn't really believe them because I thought I could only do a couple of minutes but I actually managed 4:06 and another guy did 5:05 with just a day or two's training. It's all about relaxation and an effective breath-up before you start.

@sneaeky Also, a mishap is my PC shutting down on occassion and being crappy in general (the cd drive is scummy and the internals smell of toilet grease).
-
@sneaeky Eh... yeah i dunno. Oxygen is needed for the brain to survive right? So passing out is a defense mechanism, because using oxygen derives energy for the brain, right? If you are conscious, you are using more energy than if you are unconscious. It's physics!
Scientists don't want to put this sort of thing to the test because they'd be accused of as fascists by the likes of you, probably. xD
-
@Uaxis ha.. no passing out is more of a mishap. The brain does not have enough oxygen to sustain normal function.
-
@sneaeky Passing out is a defense mechanism of the brian. It doesn't simply 'shut down' like my crap PC does on occassion.

i think you totally coulda done 5 minutes and when you do tape it and post it

shell divers do this shit everyday, some of them can go as long as 8 minutes, one japanese man could do 10 minutes. Sure its very dangerous to do this alone in the ocean at 15m depths but this, although pretty impressive, isnt jack shit compared to those divers. I imagine they got so good at it by doing this exact same thing several times a day for many years
I respect the girl but she looked half dead in the last seconds. Not good. Think about your brain.
