EVP: Paranormal Voices

In these latest ghost box EVP session clips, I have captured quite a few names coming through on the recording. I was also asking how these possible ghosts and spirits actually use the ghost box themselves, what is they do to make their disembodied voices heard? This paranormal research session was recorded on 8th May 2010.

EVP or electronic voice phenomena as it is known is thought to be voices of those passed away trying to communicate with us captured on electronic devices. When trying to capture EVP, you can sit and ask questions or leave an audio recording device in a quiet room. When you play these recordings back, sometimes you will hear voices that were not present at the time, answering your questions or talking in general. This area of paranormal research was popularised when the film White Noise was released in 2005 starring Michael Keaton. The most popular method of capturing EVP is by using ordinary tape or digital audio dictaphone's or recording devices. One of the pioneers in this field was Dr Konstantin Raudive (1909 - 1974) and his experiments are still much talked about today.

In the past 2-3years a large Percentage of my family has passed away, and I have been interested in somehow contacting or finding out about them and if they Crossed over. But I just dont want to attract the wrong spirits or the bad type(demonic).What is the most basic way,not including the Ouija board? How can i message you directly without posting on comments?Thanks

@TheSbaillie Hi, the most basic way would be by simply sitting with a dictaphone or tae recorder in a quiet room and just sit and ask questions. I still do that a lot and it is still the most practised form of EVP recording, and its still a very good method.

Hi, I was wondering if after any G.B.Sessions have you experienced any paranormal activity in your home?After my brother held an EVP session, he started to experience scary things around his home mainly at night when it was just him and his dog. @TheSbaillie Hi, Ive always had odd things happen around my home, but havent felt its made it any more active through doing ghost box sessions but having said that, I'm quite comfortable with it all anyway really so may not notice it as much. I do feel though that the ghost box sessions themselves do become more productive the more you do them so in that sense, perhaps it has made things more active.

yikes.we have ghosts in our house and we had in my grandmothers when i was young.the ones in grandmas house would shout back and forth from room to room..loudly and physically from time to time,making us think wed called each other,and when we asked each other who'd shouted,we found out none of us had.it was creepy at first,but we got used to it.the ones in our house now move things from time to time,but we dont bother them,they seem friendly.
