@LegendSexy I owned my Slate for 9 months now, and am fairly happy with it. I don't use it too much, but it has yet to let me down. All I'd want is a faster CPU, as a 1.86 is a bit slow for my taste. Once you start using Office, you really notice the hardware limitations.
As for overheating : The CPU gets to 65°C quickly, and then it throttles down to prevent overheating. The back of the Slate does feel hot with prolonged use, but never reaches that "too hot to handle" treshold.

windows really need to redesign their os for tablets, not every1 wants to be force to use a pen for their touchscreen devices becuz the icons are too small 4fingers.

@Mouthmusician Windows 8 will have an improved touch UI however I use the Slate all to time with only touch and it works pretty well.

About 5 to 5.5 hours in desktop use and about 3 to 3.5 hours playing 720P video from local storage.
