(This is the second upload of this video. The previous one somehow skipped Pikachu, Lucario, and Ness during the upload. This one covers all 37 possible Final Smashes.)
I don't know if you've been waiting for it, but here it is! I've been lurking on Spectator Mode, as well as Basic Brawls and Friend matches recording good footage of everybody's Final Smashes. Today, I nabbed the one for the Ice Climbers, the last one I needed that I was satisfied with.
What you'll be seeing here is not the usual demonstration in Practice Mode of what they look like. That's too easy to do. Rather, all of these took place in actual battles, with real opponents and real victims, so that you can see how to apply them in a match. Sometimes, I was the victim, but I don't care. As long as I see a good application of the Final Smash. I'll show them in the order of the complete character roster, top to bottom, then left to right. I also didn't forget to distinguish Zelda's from Sheik's, and I also have both forms of Samus. Here's the order:
0:00 - 0:10 Mario - Mario Finale
0:11 - 0:28 Luigi - Negative Zone
0:29 - 0:43 Peach - Peach Blossom
0:43 - 1:04 Bowser - Giga Bowser

Special thanks to ShadowWolfJTC for supplying me with the footage for Wolf's Final Smash.
Is there any reason why Luigi's Final Smash is "Negative Zone"? It doesn't seem to suit him at all.

It refers to the dark side of Subcon from Super Mario Bros. 2 (US). In that game, there were some portals you could open. Once you get in, the colors would be all weird, and once you collected its rewards, you were supposed to get out ASAP.
This was the first game where Luigi was given an appearance and personality distinct from Mario, so it's significant for Luigi.

Shouldn't things look shadowy and not inverted?

It's probably SSBB's take on this. That last response was my best guess as to where this came form, since neither the Dojo nor the Final Smash Trophy explains its context.
I'm 95% sure it refers to the dark side of Subcon, since it's the only "negative" thing related to Luigi I know.

Did Mr. L have a power similar to "Negative Zone"?
Kryptoburn257 3 years ago
No, that was "The Whoa Zone" Mario fought Mr. L in, and it was never anything Luigi could summon.
