Almost the whole scene is filmed in a single take (a long-take), which is impressive to say the least. Although its easy to say he got this from his roots on the stage, it also emphasizes the relevance of the scene, and allows you to focus on the audio. Another impressive element to note is the shadows on Kane's face while reading this declaration. Once he is done reading, the shadows are gone. This obviously is subtle forshadowing and minor character exposition.
I'm analysing this movie for my film class, and although I didn't love the movie, it is very easy to appreciate
