Sharp was again a leader in design and innovation with the VZ-2000, a massive, heavy unique player that had a single cassette deck, radio, and a dual stylus linear tracking turntable. This unit allowed one to play BOTH sides of the record without turning the record over, essentially an autoreverse feature, but with a record.

  • This is the most amateurish video I ever saw. Why don't you put a record into the thing and play it? Who wants to see you spend 3 minutes opening a box? REDO IT and this time don't walk into the screen of the camcorder!

  • @strojent its called Opening of Sharp VZ - 2000 that's probably going to be an aspect of the video.

  • I would buy one of these TOMORROW if I could find one...I wish these huge companies would wake up and realize how many vinyl fans are still out there and cater to them! Does anyone have the Kenwood front-loading, programmable turn-table that was like a cd player for vinyl? I'd love to see it and hear it! I wanted one sooo bad back in the day but at $2499 it was waaay out of my price-range thanks!

  • Hey... Nice add to what seems to be a collection! If not, you seem to be missing sliders... Do you want any to finish off you VZ 2000 (make it complete?

  • YAY ! I have one of these. :-D My one is also the red-cone, with blue dials variant. There is one that has black woofers with black dials. I have stood next to both, and I do prefer the red/blue one.

  • @barrysbaps01

got it on Friday, radio fine, cassette fine, aux in fine, power button broken off but can be turned on and off by using your little finger, also the turntable is non functional, spent 3 hours opening it up and found out that the turntable belt had deteriorated and turned to goo, also the tonearm motor belt had sagged so removed that also, got new belts coming from America so hopefully will be 100% functional soon.

  • @peckishere Let me know how it go's k

  • @peckishere

Its heavy and got the best sound, walking with it kills but for me that's a good thing brings you closer to the Boombox.
