The DieHard Funny Car of Matt Hagan recorded the quickest and fastest laps in NHRA history en route to victory this weekend at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte, NC. The 3.995 second national record lap was recorded during the Friday night qualifying session. The national record was backed up in the opening round of eliminations on Sunday with a 4.018 at 322.27 mph. The 322 mph run was the first 320+ Funny Car run in history!
Hagan also recorded the most Funny Car points on a single weekend, obtaining 147 of 150 possible points.
