I absolutely love the rice triangles, that's a great idea for a child's meal, even if it isn't bento!

@kainehomes ^^ those are call onigiri and they're quite easy to make. you just need the right ingredients and the triangle box that makes them triangular or you can even just use those plastic wrap. i bring them to school for lunch, easy to make and easy to eat as well =D

@sarrah8338 I don't know how old you are but if your ma is too busy you may try to make lunch by yourself(get up early). You can get idea from youtube video and be artful. It's not necessary to use rice but bread/sandwitch, pasta, anything good and you like, design nicely to look at. You may need the box(es)t keep your design. Your lunch will ignite fad at your school or work place. May be your ma wants to make one herself when she sees your work.

do you mean the nintendo one?

it's not that hard to make.

they used foodcolor so the rice would be pink, shaped it into the nintendo form.

the screens are made of sea weed, sea weed gets brown if it gets wet, so they used wet and dry sea weed. the writing is made of seaweed as well, but it's pretty hard to cut it out neatly like that. i don't know what the white things are made of though... maybe cheese. and that sign on the screen might be ham with another seaweed font.
