The Florida Division of Emergency Management commissioned evok to create a :30 second PSA for hurricane preparedness. Evok came up with the concept to use 2011 hurricane names while a woman shops in a grocery store for what seems like a dinner party she is having. Once several hurricane names are mentioned alphabetically, we focused on supplies that all households should have on hand in case of a hurricane. The 30-second TV spot will run on network stations, state-wide in Florida from June -- November. Radio spots with the same messaging were also produced in English, Spanish and Creole to run for 5 months on over 100 Florida radio stations.
