In order to influence the Bush Administration on Darfur, argues Harold Koh in this video, activists must understand process, policy and pressure. Based on his experience in the State Department, Koh clarifies what processes Darfur legislation and decision-making must go through; how policy is made at the executive and legislative level; and what pressure points can be levied to promote change.

Author Bio: Harold Koh served as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy & Human Rights from 1998 to 2001 under President Bill Clinton. Appointed Dean of Yale Law School in 2004, Koh has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court and testified before Congress more than twenty times.
