Yes it is. Being born in Hawaii (and yes, you can verify where he was born by checking the public records- you don't need to have the physical birth certificate in hand to verify that it exists or that a person was born in a given state) Obama is indeed a Natural Born Citizen.

Should be records of the birth certificate in the Registrar's office. I believe they will be public. See it for yourself.
