does anyone sees any relation with the chinese double broad sword techniques or its just me?

Theres a possibility that theres some similar techniques but kali is traditional filipino martial arts, it isn't borrowed from any other country if your thinking that.

ye wasnt sayn' is borrowed just noticed a few similarities! imo i think all martial arts got a chinese mark but this is just my view!

Sorry if I seemed like a jerk in that last comment. I was just pointing it out. Also chinese have a lots of fighting styles and theres bound to be similarities but it could be vise-versa depending on that person's point of view.

Actually, Kali and FMA in general developed initially from The indigenous Filipino systems and Silat brought by Malaysian settlers nearly 1500 years ago. Since than, FMA has stolen [in a good way] elements of Spanish, Chinese and, Japanese arts. The Philippines are located centrally in the Indian Ocean along the path of the trade winds. As such, it has been a site for contact between many diverse groups. Check out Mark V. Willey's writings on the subject.
