and it's not only former Christian bands, but present ones too.
I can't seem to comment on a Skillet, TFK, Anberlin, Third Day, or Jeremy Camp song without someone insulting my Christian believes, saying that the band that "This isn't a Christian band" (when it clearly is).
I have to agree... Ben is a genuinely good guy!! He is soooooooooo gifted and we are so blessed that he is generous enough to share his gift with the world!! God Bless BDS! btw...the Bible also says not to judge...
I bet none of you have read the insert in Ben's cd....except you Randall
Benjamin is a one of the best people that I have ever met in my life. I sugguest you all keep your silly ASS comments to yourself....except for you Randall
What I meant was "other Christians" commented me in the implication of 'how dare you label Squad 5-0 a secular band because they slid in a few profane words in their songs, they struggle like many Christians do.' There is no justification for sin and foul language is strongly discouraged towards believers in Christ in the Word of God.
Rawk, I wouldn't worry about getting "nailed". We are to judge Christians in the formal way by what the Bible has to say.
1 John 1:6-7 says this : "If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
The Word of God does not lie, and although we are to love one another, GENUINE love chastises!
Not sure what to say to that. I once commented about Squad 5-0 backsliding because their album Late News Breaking contained profanity and someone chastized me and told me not to judge them because of the way they felt like expressing themselves on that album. You almost can't mention anything negative about a former "Christian" artist without getting nailed for it, pretty sad huh?
oh no, he smokes and drinks, he must be a satan worshipper then

Some of his lyrics contain mild profanity and his recent pictures show him holding alcohol and smoking cigarettes...

And what makes you assume he backslid?
