This is my take on What have you Done by Within Temptation. It is not intended to be a perfect cover.

This is my first drum video, still working out some kinks. Ignore the ending...I got tired of editing and just said "screw it" and left the last little part in.

Comment if you'd like.

  • nice i wanna learn how to play that song . is it hard?

  • @RLJMB Nah...not really. I learned it just by listening to the song over and over and keeping the CD in my car whenever I was going somewhere...tapping on my steering wheel while I listen.

  • good own interpretation shows the real artistry of a drummer.......

  • @TheMiracle1929

to add on, practive rudiment VERY VERY SLOWLY, if your rudiments sound band slow they sound garbage fast. . .and coming from someone who is a percusionist. . practice timing with your feet (bass + high hat) . . .the drum that cuts the most is bass, practice timing and balance along with your hands, dont just attempt to pic up a piece of music and expect to be able to play it correctly, just like anything practice makes perfect

  • Cool, I liked it =)

  • cool :)

  • thanx for the advice i think it will help a lot i reely do thanx so much again i havn't tooken a lesson eaither but when my mom gets her disability money i will start taking them if she'll let me witch i know she'll let me and thank you

  • @mamasboy1231 Only advice I can offer is to just stick to it. I learned by ear too. Never took a drum lesson in my life. I DID play trumpet from 3rd grade, all thru college, so that helped w/ understanding music in general, but no formal drum lessons. Start small...work into progressively harder stuff. If I could do it over again, I'd probably take drum lessons, cuz learning some of the rudiments by ear can be tricky. Watch videos and learn as much as yo u can...and just have fun.

  • wow that been a while ago iv been playing for about 10 months i was wanting to know if you had any advise for a 12 year old drummer that has the heart for drumming but is playing by ear and some people say i don't have a clue what i'm doing when i know that i'm 100% better then what they could do unless they were comparing me to somebody else but do u have any advice

  • @mamasboy1231 Technically, I got that set in the video for xmas about 15 years ago when I was 18. Then I went to college...and didn't get to play much...just on breaks...then i moved and couldn't bring it with me so lost out on another 6 years. Moved back home, but couldn't have it in apartment, so it was at parents'. So played on/off for past 15 years with HUGE breaks between...until 3 months ago. I now live in same house as it. lol
