Is it Made in the U.S.A? Hows the suction and overall build quality feel?

@FeeLtheHertZ yes it is built in the USA. the build quality is as good as it always has been! the only downfall in my opion is they plastic is not textured like it use to be so it show scratches and blemishes easier.

@heyto To be honest I think the noise is about the same. Which is a bit of a bummer, but vac noise really doesn't bother me that much so it hasn't been an issue for me. This thing is still in the works though, it is being slowly improved over time, and the finished product is supposed to be ready the end of this year.

@Soldier0117 Respond to this video... The suction motor sound quieter on this new Guardian vs the old. Is the machine still just as loud or have Electrolux finally made improvements on noise reduction?

You have the Best vacuum on the market....You should be proud to own the Guardian Ultra....Remember....If it doesn't say AERUS....It's not the original....How many vacuum companys think enough of their product to give a 20 year warranty on the vacuum and 5 years on the attachments....NONE....I own the Aerus Franchise in Richmond,Va....1-866-343-0909.­...Ray

my mom really does not use her guardian anymore. It is really clunky and bulky. I bought her a Miele and she loves it. It works AWESOME and is very light weight. The guardian feels like heavy plastic that you pull and push. They are ok machines though. Hers is 3 years old this December. She should just sell it.

@concordenerd The only thing that is annoying about the new one is the lack of controls on the handle other than that it is actually quite the improvement. I honestly feel that this cleans way better than the old guardian.

@concordenerd Actually I think it is an improvement over the first Guardian. The hose connection is quite firm and the performance is there. Also this model is in the process of slow development. They have just released a new powerhead and a new hose, body style, and some other small changes are on the way.

It seems like they went back to the style that would be cheaper for them to make. But you still pay a premium for the machine because it is the Guardian. Like the hose connection to the base looks very cheap and no controls on the handle, and the machine itself looks like the cheaper models. So basically you pay more, but really just get a HEPA filter. Not really impressed by this model. Have a Guardian and it seems to be a well build machine, but it does not clean very well.
